Please go to Canvas to find your project worksheet.  All projects are to be turned in through Canvas!

You will be creating a situation that includes writing and solving an equation.  You get to choose the subject of this word problem, and you get to decide what you will be solving for.  Once you have picked a topic and written a problem, you will show how to solve it and give the correct solution(s.)  You'll also show pictures to make it fun for others to solve!

​

 

*Choose a situation in which you pay a one time fee for something plus make smaller payments over and over again.  EX.  You join a music plan that costs $15 per year and you pay $1.25 each time you download a song.  Invent your own situation and make the numbers realistic.

 

*Write an equation that uses your information and includes a variable.  The variable will stand for the thing you do or pay for over and over.

 

*Next create at least 3 different scenarios.  EX. You downloaded 30 songs, you downloaded 50 songs, you downloaded 125 songs.  Solve your equation for all of the numbers you choose.  SHOW ALL OF THE WORK you did to solve those equations.

 

*Put all necessary info and pictures on a google doc and share it with Mr. Gundy.  Include your word problem, an equation, the meaning of your variable, your work and your solutions.

 

*You may work with a partner or by yourself.   

*Have fun and be creative!
